Since Last Time

Lots has happened since the last time I blogged. Quick recap: I scrapbooked on Mackinaw Island at the Grand Hotel; went to a Loons Baseball Game for Grandpa and Doris's birthdays; put on a baby shower for Baby Boy Banks, which was a ton of fun; along with all the normal everyday stuff. Life is definitely never dull. :)

GRAND GETAWAY ~ Mackinaw Island. I had been to Mackinaw Island before, but hadn't stayed at The Grand Hotel. This time we stayed right at the Grand, and had a great time. It was three full days of scrapbooking and lots of pages were accomplished! The picture is one of us on the ferry on the way back home....deifnitely a GREAT time!

BABY BOY BANKS SHOWER ~ Another fun thing that happened, the weekend after the GG, was my friend Shannon's shower. It was an excellent day! We had a lot of fun. The invitations were a lot of fun to do. I'm so excited for BBB! I can't wait to meet him--only 18 more days.

LOONS GAME ~ We took Grandpa and Doris to a Great Lakes Loons Game in May. It was a great day! It was even a fireworks night. Grandpa and Doris had a great time--so did the rest of us.

Waitin' till we Cruise!

So Last night we had this great and awesome cruise party! We all went to Kerri's house and had a ton of fun.

Kerri, Sarah, Kelly, Emily, and I went just a little crazy on the party. We had tons of food -- go figure, where we are, there we shall have food -- talked about the cruise and even had a photo opportunity place to take our pictures.

Friday night, we all got together and decorated and then Saturday night, we partied!! Complete with sex on the beach--thanks to John and Sarah. It's a pretty good drink!

I'm attaching some pictures from the weekend. Enjoy!

More later!

Crazy Nights and Fun Scrapbook Times

The last couple of weekends I've spent both Saturday's scrapbooking--at my house last weekend and yesterday at Williams Township Hall--both times with the women in my family. I must admit that we had a great time both of these days.

I would say that we were the life of the party at the scrapbook event yesterday. I haven't laughed that hard (my sides were hurting we laughed so hard) in a VERY long time!! I'm not even sure what we were laughing about at one point...we just couldn't stop laughing...I think there was even some snorting involved. hahaha!! Never a dull moment!!

Last night after we cropped, we met up with the guys in our family to have a drink. I only wish we would have had a camera....the mom's (my mom, Aunt Joan, and Aunt Sally) all got a little crazy. I should just say "smoking stogies" (a.k.a for them it's pretzel rods---hahaha)!!!

Happy 2009 Y'all!!

Well, 2009 has started and I must say that it's been all right so far. I'm praying that 2009 is better than 2008!

The year 2008 saw many things happen:

Dad turned 60 and mom, Kerri, Kelly, Sarah, and I totally got him! He was super surprised with his surprise party! There was also a little bit of wildness at the party. Can we say I never thought I would put the words "Bar dancing" in a sentence with myself...what can I say...I shouldn't have dared Kerri.

Sarah and I got to see four games, and three were games the Atlanta Braves. We had a great time in Texas where lots of crazy and fun things happened!

I turned the dreaded 3-0 in August, but had a great time on my actual birthday, did a little bit of toasting...hehehe...and then also at the surpise party that was thrown at my parents house. Thanks everyone who was involved with that.

I also lost a dear friend in May. My friend Jen's husband John was diagnosed with cancer and passed away not long after they found out. I still miss him, and I know that Jen does too. I'm here for ya, Jen.

In my Bible Study group, we have finished up to where God is speaking in Job. I can't wait to hear what God has to say to Job...Maybe this week??

As 2008 closed, I was able to look back on the year and realize that I got to spend a lot of time with my family and friends. I loved EVERY minute of it!! Love you all!!!!
