More about the trip

So, some funny things that happened when we were in Texas. First of all, Sarah totally ran a stop sign. We laughed so hard, tears were streaming down our faces. Thankfully, no one was going from the opposite way. The funny part about this entire story was the fact that the truck next to us was slowing down, but Sarah thought that he was just turning the corner. In Sarah's defense, the stop sign was out of the blue and niether one of us saw it until it was too late--we were halfway through the intersection. Just thinking about, still makes me chuckle.

Another funny thing was that while we were eating Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, I saw this really awesome photo op! Sarah thought we would just take each others pic and have one spot open. I wasn't happy with that though! I took the comment card pads that were at the checkout counter and set the camera on top of them all. Thank goodness for the automatic timer!! hehe

I've heard it said that everything is bigger in Texas. This picture doesn't give the saying justice, but realize this was the glass of water that the waitress brought us. It was like double the size of a normal glass!! It was great. We only really needed one glass each. Sarah and I both looked at each other and I said to her: "Things really are bigger in Texas!"

I think Texas is one of my favorite states....Diet Dr. Pepper is my weakness, and let me tell you, it is everywhere in fountain pop...Gas stations, restuarants, the ball park!! It was great! Of course, I usually drank water, but it was still great knowing that it was there if I want it! Not to mention the best waffle maker ever!! It was so much fun to eat waffles!

HAHAHA....it wasn't my fault that I ran the stop sign. The navigator should have informed me!
